Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council (Welsh: Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Blaenau Gwent) is the local governing body for Blaenau Gwent, a principal area in south-east Wales. Established in 1974 and reconstituted in 1996, the council oversees services for towns including Ebbw Vale, Abertillery, Brynmawr, and Tredegar. Headquartered at the historic General Offices in Ebbw Vale, the council comprises 33 elected councillors. Since the 2022 elections, it has been under Labour majority control. In 2024, Blaenau Gwent and Torfaen councils agreed to share a Chief Executive Officer, aiming to enhance collaboration and efficiency between the two authorities.
